"A VERY SPECIAL RHYTHM"

When my eyes saw her
my heart took a deep breath.

You would have thought
that my heart was taking
deep breathing exercises.

But time passes
and hearts come and go.

My heart doesn't deep breathe any more.

It has gotten used to thinking of her
and settled into it's own
very special rhythm.
