Is this you, Daniel? I checked out your poetjdaniel, and came up with pages of the most awesome poetry. You write so much like I think and feel, that I've been reading for hours...even with a bellyache I somehow lost along the way. I hope I have the right person, because I would be very disappointed if I didn't! After Mike died, I worked extensively with dear friend Sing Cher in Singapore, who produces flash movies...another story. I assisted him in many ways, and he said I had the most amazing intuition! Anyway, many of those movies are there because of me, one way or another, and one he actually used in a Christmas movie "ASAP" as he put it. I am not a poet, but I love to write. I will send you that one, and later others I had something to do with. Love and laughter~Nanette (Click Here For) A Different Night before Christmas. This was based on some very real phenomena that occurred the day Mike died.

What a comprehensive and impressive site! You're writing a pleasant variety of poems from the metrical, rhymed style to free verse. I especially related to the pieces inspired by your Mom, as I just lost my own mother this past November. Your daughter's work reveals a keen intellect and so much insight! Please pass along my good wishes. - Brenda<><>To visit Brenda's site, click here. She's a former school teacher.

I love the hidden secret tucked away until the very end of this write. (These words are in reference to a poem I wrote that I haven't added to my site as of yet, titled 'And Then It Rained'). That is what an excellent writer tries to accomplish. To keep the attention of the reader from the start to the very end. Powerfully written lines leave images on thee imagination. Then the one who reads this material walks away with thoughts that need to be processed. I am firm believer that poetry, art and music have that same effect on the soul. The emotional use of sound, words, and images they are part of our very senses, that only the heart can process correctly. I have always enjoyed your work T.J Daniels. Del Isherwood

Hi TJ, I appreciate you responding. I placed the word: 'Beautiful', up there, because that is just a tiny bit of what I felt when I read your poetry. I was overcome by so many of your poems. Your words, are so true to life. At times, I felt as if, you were reading my mind. TJ, you have such a treasure, a gift, a talent that is unbelievable. 'And I Love You Now', tore my heart out; I almost cried. Your work touches my heart, and soul. 'I Will Be With You Always', in some ways reminded me of my Father. I still miss him unbearably. 'Lost In Time', truely expressed words that stir our emotions. Your heart is filled with such emotion; I feel honored to have read it. There is no need to wish you good luck; I know you already have it, in this gift of poetry you have. TJ, I also have a poetry site. I would feel thrilled if you would have a look at it. I also have a guest book. I would feel honored if you would sign it. *smile*. Gina, from WI.

TJ: I love your straight forward style, your humor and your ability to cut to the chase. The retirement one was funny, which is so rare in this day and age. The desert one expresses things I've felt, and of course I was very drawn to your anti-war expressions, particularly the Christmas prayer. To me the mark of a good poet is someone not trying to be one, but just putting on paper what they feel and think in a concise powerful way that touches others in a visceral way. That describes you I think to a tee... I'm glad you could share. I look forward to seeing more. John: from 'Planet Earth' and sometimes from 'The Other Land' You can read John's poetry here, just click.

Dear T.J. Daniels, Thank you for these fine simple poems. Popular songs can do many things better than poems can. You are exploring the territory of popular songs, in my opinion, and sometimes, as in The Enemy Within or in Breakfast for One, you succeed in getting somewhere that pop songs can't go. I liked those two specially. Paul. From everywhere.

Hi T.J. I have been reading more of your great poetry this morning and have enjoyed my visit. Thank you for signing my GuestBook and for your kind comments. I did shed tears for your poem "Tears for the Roses" because, though I cut my grass myself, I spend time tending my garden every day. Well, "Whispers in the Wind" made up for it. You have so many wonderful poems and I like them short and to the point. Keep up the great work. Blessings ... Joan--(I have included the link to Joans poem 'Arthur', because it's a true story and so precious, that it's a 'must read'. TJ).--Arthur

Hi T.J. I am literally sitting here crying as I type you this email. I went on a poetry hunt this morning, unable to sleep as usual. It was something to do, to pass the time. I like poetry. It was no mistake or no coincidence that I found your site. I couldn't tell you which poems I read that took my breath away and brought so many tears to my eyes that I can't see very well right now. I think I read about two dozen of them, and got something from each and every one. I don't write my own poetry....well, once in a blue moon, but it's not good. I recently wrote one about my depression and the consequences in life of such a disastrous illness. It was like a letter to my illness, personalized from yours truly. I have an insider's point of view, you know. Getting back to your poetry, it is beyond words. Doesn't that sound silly, saying that poetry is beyond words? But it is, it strikes the heart like a tidal wave of icy water in its expression, then bathes you in calm, soothing, warm water with its meaning. I have never read anything like your gifts. That's what they are, they are not just words on paper or verses or something written. They are truly wonderful, beautiful, sad, happy, lovely gifts from you to me. And to whomever reads them. Thank you for starting this day for me in such a way that I actually have hope that i'll get through it in one piece, or at least not fully unassembled. I'm not anyone special, just a woman with a life, two dogs, and a lot of tears. Ok, I've finally stopped crying so I can see better now. Please accept my words with confidence and know that what I've said, every bit of it, comes from my heart. I don't often share anything from my heart, so take that as a gift from me to you, sort of a payback, if it even comes close. Take care, be happy, and keep writing. Thank you...... (somehow that looks like such a small phrase now) Dawn.

You have such a beautiful way of writing and touch many hearts I'm sure. You touch my heart many times as I read your words. South Breeze

Wow your poetry site has gotten a lot of hits & I can see why. I love poetry. I spend a lot of spare time looking thru poetry sites on the internet. I like the short & to the point....like yours. Gosh...I can see you write straight from the heart. One I liked was Where I Wish I Was. I haven't read them all but plan on it. Diane

Hello again T.J.- Decided to stop by and read some more. This evening my favorite is "New Glass in The Windows." I really like this one. Take care. Laura again.

I just read "Why Space Ships Don't Land." How wonderfully you expressed your sadness about in the enormous cruelty of humankind. Your site in now among my favorites. Thanks for the poetry and I really like your site. Take care TJ, Laura from CT USA

Greetings TJ! I stopped by to read some more and let you know that I updated my links page and added your banner to it, I hope you don't mind, but I think people who visit my site would definitely be interested in your poetry! I will let you go for now, hope all is well! Lisa (My Life With MS)

Hi, just came from your poetry pages.. my but you do have some kind of talent... never let the pen stop or the ink run dry. Sharon from SC.

Your poems are very poignant. I especially liked Black Top Coffin, The Naked Rose and Tears for the Roses. I enjoyed visiting your site. Amethyst from USA.

I could spend a lot of time just looking at your site. God blessed me with this site. i look forward to looking at it. thank you for sharing with your family and friends. hope you can visit my site sometime. it would be an honor to have your name in my guest book thank you. hattie From CN

Dear TJ, I went to your website and read quite a few of the poems on page 2. I think I understand where you are coming from. You know, I never understood when people said, 'it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all'. Sometimes the pain of losing is so unbearable that you feel like you could implode with despair - but then, the joy of memory soothes the heartache. I can only add that what is taken away with one hand, is given back tenfold with the other. Life is quirky like that - thankfully. Terri from UK

Mr. Daniels, I am a freshman in high school, and in my English class I have to write a poetry portfolio. It has a lot of poetry in it and all I need is one more poem. The one that is left is a copy of my favorite poem and I have to write a bio about the author. But, since YOU are my favorite author and my fave poem is your "Love without reason", I must write it about you. Patricia.

i came upon your site surfing around. i must say, that the more i read, the more impressed i became. the thing that strikes me the most about your poetry, is that you know of the reality that life brings to you. you know how things are and were, and that you go on in life because that is how life is. but, you know in your heart how painful things are. in spite of that, you go on anyway. i loved someone very much once. i still love him deeply. i have made some progress over the years, as i know that is how life is. but still, i greive over him. it is so hard to know what you had once, and to know that it was taken away from you, against your will. i feel like i was left to carry on in a life where i will never find that kind of love again, as it is surely a once in a life time thing. time has healed me only somewhat, as i know that time does not wait on any of us. i must carry on, but that is only because i have no choice in the matter. your poems, made me look deeper, i realize that i am not the only one in the world who goes through these things. i dont know, i just found your poems to be comforting in a way that i cannot describe. i wish i could. maybe it is the reality thing. it is hard for me to face. i keep thinking that one day, he will come back for me. i know that is wrong, but maybe he will. i will come back and read all that you have written. thank you, sally

I've been here before and you never cease to amaze me with your wisdom and the way you incorporate it in your poems. I found the stories behind your poems, truly interesting. Having Polio as a child in Ghosts From The Past and the special feelings you felt in Grandma's Dime were quite moving. I have read quite a few of the poems here and I will come back to read more. My favorite for now is Butterfly Dust. Mystikraze

I like allllll these poems TJ! I will put them on Artvilla too.Click here to visit Artvilla (this is in reference to some newer poems that I wrote about the catastrophy in NYC & the WTC Twin Towers. I will be adding these poems soon.) They are what many people are searching the Web for.
I haven't read a poem that you wrote, that I did not like ... yet. Many of them are good for me. I'm not one who likes to read long poems that say nothing.. I get bored. Unless the content of that long poem can keep my interest that is. Oh .. that's me tho. [Char] from Can

Your poems are welldone and say a lot without being wordy. I like the simplicity of expression that you use."Dad, I Have Something to Tell You" is one of the most touching pieces I have read in a long time. I also especially liked "And They Danced", "Green Fields", "What Might Have Been ", "Ghosts From the Past" and "Under Lock and Key". I expect to visit here regularly to see your new material. Maggie.

Being a poet myself I enjoy work of all kinds. I read many of you poems and could feel the emotions through your use of concrete images. Your simplicity intrigued me. I could feel much of what you were saying, relate them to personal experience. My advice to you, is keep working, you are truley on your way to become an excelent distinguished poet. Very impressed. Dee.

I just want to tell you that I absolutely love your poetry! My girlfriend and I are going through a somewhat enduring situation right now, not from the faults of either of us, but testing times. And I have made it a habbit to send her poetry each day. The cool thing is that a lot of the poetry I have sent has your name attached to it. I just want you to know that you do great work and that means a lot to both my girlfriend and myself. By all means keep it up! Mark from OH

I really enjoyed the poetry, thanks for posting it. The one's of love were really great and made me think of a soul mate recently lost, and it even made things a little more clearer. Again, thanks for posting, sometimes things read make a thought appear clear. Dang from Georgia

What beautiful poetry. I didn't quite get it all read, but will bookmark it and be back soon. I loved "Drawn to the river" and "Heart strings". Heather from ILL

This is a GREAT site. it touches me in so many ways. i have lost so much and it is nice to finally see that there is someone else out there who feels the same way and knows what to say to make me feel better... even if it is only by coincidence! This is officially my favorite site now. UPO from NC

Hiyas T.J. I was looking for something to read because I love poetry and I happened to stumble across your site. I love it! Your poems Are short and simple, yet sweet and meaningful. Your site has inspired me to create my own poetry site. I love writing poetry and now i know that I dont have to have great decoration or fancy stuff to have a great site! your poetry is very comforting and true. Keep writing and If you have the time e-mail me. I might not be the most experienced poet but i do know when I have found great poetry and yours is it! Keep writing Awesome poetry! Jenna from AZ

"And they danced" was one of the most sensitive pieces of literature I have ever read. Thankyou. Julie from Australia

Dear mr. Daniels, The Bio information or story behind your writing I believe is far better then the usual, born... place of birth etc. My class mates have chosen poets such as william shakespeare and william wordsworth. The mere fact that I spoke to the poet whom I have chosen I believe will gain me quite a few marks. I read all your other poetry and can't believe that someone could actually sit and write things that I cant even imagine. I am really a true admirer and would like to thank you sincerely for personally replying to my email. I have other friends who have now gained interest in your writing and I assure that we would be keeping up to date with it. Betty from UK

I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but when reading you work, I thought you were around my age! I'm 22, I thought you were in your twenties as well. Anyways, I'm new to surfing the web, infact, this is my first time reading poetry on line. I enjoyed it. I myself, am a writer (or so I like to believe, lol.), and so I'm always up for reading other peoples work. It must be wonderful for you to be able to post your writing and get so much feedback from people. I know if it were me, I'd want to know which poems were the readers favorite, so I'll just tell you which were mine. "And they danced", what a sweet poem, I really liked that one. It made me smile. Very romantic. "The flame", you bought to light the vulnerability (excuse my spelling by the way, remember, I'm a writer, not a speller :)) that is accompanied with love. Wonderful. "Green fields are gone", I felt you there. It seemed to me the story of a love that was broken. "Heart Strings ", once again, being scared of not knowing when it comes to love. I like it!! "Under lock and key", boy, does this seem like you were depressed when you wrote it. However, I was taught in class, you never assume the narrarator is the aurthor, so should I say, the narrarator seemed very down and in pain. I know what that's like. "Mothers are like that" reminds me of a poem I wrote about my mother and father. I almost cried. "The wish", once again, very sweet and romantic. And I think my favorite has to be, "The sound of being alone". You seem to be a very romantic guy. That's nice to see. I don't get to meet many. I really enjoyed your poetry, thank you for sharing your work. That takes ALOT of courage, at least I think so. I will be revisiting your poetry page. I hope I didn't make this too long, but after reading your stuff, I think you might not mind reading responses. Thanks again for sharing such great poetry. Jessica from CAL

(Jessica, 'Green Fields Are Gone' really happened, almost word for word. I finally wrote the story behind 'Green Fields.' Not sure when I'll have time to add it though. Maybe one day, I'll write the story behind 'The Sound Of Being Alone'). TJ

Loved the poetry. Edgar Allen Poe (my favorite poet) always argued that a great writer could say in a paragraph what a good write could say in a chapter. I think that you are proof of that. Great stuff. Jason from OK

your poetry is quite innocent in a shakespearian kind of way. i like your gentle tone in the language and style. kris, san diego

Your poem, "The Great Dragon Slayer" was very much a 'been there, done that' situation for me. I'm still a teenager, and that may not seem very old, but I am also a writer. I understand what you say about age, sometimes we all act like we're 3, and other times we have wisdom beyond our years. But, that particular poem really said what I felt. Right now, you're getting one very big 'award' as you would say. I just wanted to tell you what an impact that poem had on me. If I cry, it's good. I'm sobbing. :o) Thanks. Rebecca

Your poetry has some really good points and expressions. Some of your poems have a lot of depth, but they are still short andsweet. This is by far some of the most meaningful messages that I have found so far. Keep up the good work!! Drea from AZ

Hey T.J. I like your style! The simple layout of your site and poetry seems to stand in contrast to the sharp and complex talent that you have. The poems were excellent; touching, expressive, and thought provoking. I feel that the beauty of your poems lies in what is between the lines. Great work TJ, i'll surely return soon! Aries324 from RI usa

I enjoyed your poetry very much and still have a lot of it to read, which I will do. "To Old To Use It" I think you must have writtin that about me. I write some poetry but I tend to write long stuff to paint the picture. But what I have read of your writing is brief and to the point and the picture is there. Love it! I'll have to work on that style. "Darkest Moon" hit a familiar note with me too. Rusty from VA

Well, what does one say after reading such words. I write poetry as well and so you could say that I can only love what you have produced. Call it generalization but I thought that great male poets who expressed their feelings had been extinct long ago. Please don't stop writing because it is though you writing that so many people, myself included, find themselves. Sejosenketse from South Africa

Hi Again T.J.!! Congratulations!! You truely are gifted and most talented!! I took the liberty of going on findpoetry.com and I gave you no less than a 10, on the modern, as well as, the romantic. I truely feel you deserve the recognition, as your poetry really touchs the reader, deep inside. You make things so real to visualize, and the emotion/emotions, you were feeling, as you wrote a poem, can be felt by the reader. Kinda like being there, with you!!! You make a person/or reader definitely feel part of. Leaving the reader with a good feeling inside!!! Till we email again, you take care, T.J.!!*s* Laura from Canada

Thank you for the gift of your poetry, it's very beautiful and It seems that you have experienced your share of pain. I lost my beautiful daughter at the age of 15, her name was Lacey Lynn, to cancer about 3 years ago (1997). Plus my life has had many struggles throughout but I try to look at the struggles as stepping stones in life even when it hurt so badly. I wanted to just wish you a wonderful day and may God offer you and I guidance. Take Care of yourself and your family. Keep up the good writing. (the mother of Lacey Lynn)

Good Morning T.J. I hope all is well with you and your family. I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful poem that you wrote for my family and I honoring our beautiful Lacey Lynn. I can't even express how much it means to us, we will be placing it in Lacey's Scrapbook and photo albums. Today is Lacey's death Anniversary of 3 years, we will be releasing about 50 balloons with love note tags attached with our phone # and name, and we request prayers for our family and also other parents that have lost children or any inspirationalthoughts. So watch for the balloons, about 1 year ago, another parent released balloons and one of theirs went from South Dakota and ended up in Chicago, IL, the people called and they all ended up with a beautiful friendship and in similar situations. God does perform miracles. I will e-mail you a dedication later today! Take Care, Thank you again for taking your time for our family and May God Bless you! (I added the dedication to the poem. TJ)

Mr. Daniels: Wow! You have managed to sum up in so few verses what so many of us have felt at one time or another. Love, thats what I can relate to, "Out of the Mist," "Words I Cannot Speak," and "Her Heart", brought back memories of times long past. Yours is the first poetry that I have found on the internet that truly touches the soul and that makes you unique. In fact, if you didn't live 3000 or so miles to the north (I'm a Texan), I'd shake your hand.
P.S. I still feel a need to say that I have found lots of good poetry in books, but yours is the first really meaningful poetry that I've found on the internet. Thank you. Robert from Texas.

Dear TJ, I'm back! I have put a link to your site on my page and while I was updating it I decided to pay you another visit!! Your collection of poetry continues to grow, and blossom. Each word opening up like a petal, revealing new delights. Each thorn of pain and sorrow, expressed so beautifully truthful. Thank you for sharing your gift. Loads of Hugs, Chloe from England

I have just recently been introduced to this poetry site by the author himself, T. J. Daniels, and I am very impressed with his writings. I haven't had time to read all of those on his list as yet, but every single one I've read has left its mark. His poems are so full of life, that I'm sure this author has to write straight from his heart. They are short and to the point. Having written a few short poems myself, I appreciate the fact that T. J. Daniels doesn't write long screeds of poetry that usually send me running for the dictionary, and put me off poetry altogether. I now have an intelligent site I can visit. One filled with the true values of living. Ella Cochrane, Fort Erie, Province: Ontario - Canada

T. J. Thank you so much for your poetry - no, for putting your soul into words - so that other souls can know they are not alone in their sadness, happiness and humanity. Take care. Regards, Bobette

Hi. I would just like to say that I thought your pomes were really good. But your pome "Dad, I have something to tell you" hit me prety hard. When I told my dad "I wasnt like most boys" he didnt tell me he loved me, he beat the crap out of me. And your pome "For my brother" kinda realates to me in a way to because my sister died last year and I wrote a pome simalur to that. Well anyways I just wanted to tell you that your pomes were really good. BDU

Hello T.J., I just wanted to let you know how much your poetry has touched me in the past few weeks. My best friend of 13 years died a few weeks ago. Shortly after her death I discovered your poetry. Many of your poems have given me a great deal of comfort. I hope you don't mind, but I printed a copy of ''I JUST THINK TO MYSELF'', laminated it, and tucked it away at her gravesite. Every time I go to there, I pull it out and read it. They have become very personal, private moments for me. I thank you so much for writing it. You have a wonderful insight. God be with you. Teri

For my english class, we had to memorize a poem and present it to the class, and i chose one of yours, MEMORIES OF TOMMORROW. Veronica
