I am divorced & lived alone for many years. I don't really recommend that, unless you're such a great person that you can get along with anyone, including yourself. I don't live alone anymore, I live with a friend. I finally got tired of ME.
I do not own any dogs or cats. I don't dislike animals, I just enjoy them much more if they are owned by someone else. I live in Wisconsin.
I recently spoke to my daughter, A. L. Jones (Angie) about keeping my poetry alive, when I am no longer. She agreed that she would, but you know how sometimes, 'things happen'. *smile* I've spent hundreds of dollars, just to be able to share my poetry. And the spending is on-going by the month/year. I could have gone to a 'free site' but I felt that the poetry was more important than that.
Some people feel that a poet should not receive any compensation for his/her poetry, that poetry should be shared with all mankind. I believe, that in a perfect world, poets would be paid for their offerings just as songwriters, actors, novelists and artists are. It is my hope that someday that will happen.
