Drawn to the river
but I couldn't go in.

Drawn to the water
but my chances were slim.

Drawn to the water
but afraid I would drown.

Drawn to the river
but I couldn't go down.

Drawn to the river
but I could not go in.

The water beckoned me
but I could not swim.
