Comments : I have been writing poetry for about six years now, and I just recently had two of my poems published in an anthology. I know that may not mean too much to you but I also know how discouraging in can be to not get reconized for your works. I just wanted you to know that I believe you have alot of potential and I think you are going to be famous one day. You are a very talented poet and I look up to anyone who can write their feelings down like you have on your page. Please don't get discouraged like I have, stick to your poetry, the world needs more people like you. Good luck in the future, I hope you go far.

Comments: I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but when reading you work, I thought you were around my age! I'm 22, I thought you were in your twenties as well. Anyways, I'm new to surfing the web, infact, this is my first time reading poetry on line. I enjoyed it. I myself, am a writer (or so I like to believe, lol.), and so I'm always up for reading other peoples work. It must be wonderful for you to be able to post your writing and get so much feedback from people. I know if it were me, I'd want to know which poems were the readers favorite, so I'll just tell you which were mine. "And they danced", what a sweet poem, I really liked that one. It made me smile. Very romantic. "The flame", you bought to light the vulnerability (excuse my spelling by the way, remember, I'm a writer, not a speller :)) that is accompanied with love. Wonderful. "Green fields are gone", I felt you there. It seemed to me the story of a love that was broken. "Heart strings", once again, being scared of not knowing when it comes to love. I like it!! "Under lock and key", boy, does this seem like you were depressed when you wrote it. However, I was taught in class, you never assume the narrarator is the aurthor, so should I say, the narrarator seemed very down and in pain. I know what that's like. "Mothers are like that" reminds me of a poem I wrote about my mother and father. I almost cried. "The wish", once again, very sweet and romantic. And I think my favorite has to be, "The sound of being alone". You seem to be a very romantic guy. That's nice to see. I don't get to meet many. I really enjoyed your poetry, thank you for sharing your work. That takes ALOT of courage, at least I think so. I will be visiting your page waiting for new work. Maybe one day you could read some of my work. I hope I didn't make this too long, but after reading your stuff, I think you might not mind reading responses. And I wouldn't mind if you E-mailed me back, that is if you had the time. Thanks again for sharing, good stuff here. Jessica

Comments: I really hate to say this, but your poetry leaves something to be desired. It sounds like someone talking, not poetry. You use no creative or expressive terms, and most of what you have written I have heard time and time again. I am a poet myself, and I despise people who throw a bunch of crap on the page and call it art. Sorry, but my opinion stands: get some new material, take some classes. >>T. J. Daniels: Hi. I would like to thank you for signing the guest book and also for expressing your opinion. I'm curious about one thing though, why do you feel you have to opologize _sp_ for yours? You know what they say about opinions: everyone has one. I'd also like to thank you for having the courage to leave your email. One other person that had some negative remarks, left a fake email. As I would have said to her, I'm very glad that you wrote. I know that there will be some negative remarks and I'm very happy that you wrote, because now I've gotten that negative out of the way. If you expected me to compete with the greats, and thought that you were going to read some Great poetry, sorry to disapoint you. I'm not trying to compete with the greats. 'I know, you're thinking, you sure are not.' I don't believe that anyone can compete with the greats but there are some 'so called' poets that are trying. Maybe you're one of those, I do not know. I must also surmise from your email 'handle'(gRoOvY_bAbY_17) that you are rather young, at least to me. >>I am a poet myself, and I despise people who throw a bunch of crap on the page and call it art.>> You know, you must really dispise an awfull lot of people, cause there's a lot of it out there in cyberspace. You say you're a poet. Why not email one of yours to me, so I may decide whether you are any good or not. Or, if you have a web page, send me the URL. Again, I thank you. TJ>>

Comments: Your poem, "The Great Dragon Slayer" was very much a 'been there, done that' situation for me. I'm only 12, and that may not seem very old, but I am also a writer. I understand what you say about age, sometimes we all act like we're 3, and other times we have wisdom beyond our years. But, that particular poem really said what I felt. Right now, you're getting one very big 'award' as you would say. If you would like, I can send you some of my poetry. I read yours on 'The night Of the Velvet Rose' page. I also submitted some of my poetry there. I just wanted to tell you what an impact that poem had on me. If I cry, it's good. I'm sobbing. :o) My e-mail addy is: twizzler03@hotmail.com. Thanks. I could feel much of what you were saying, relate them to personal experience. My advice to you, is keep working, you are truley on your way to become an excelent distinguished poet. Your poems are well-done and say a lot without being wordy. I like the simplicity of expression that you use."Dad, I Have Something to Tell You" is one of the most touching pieces I have read in a long time. I also especially liked "And They Danced", "Green Fields", "What Might Have Been", "Ghosts From the Past" and "Under Lock and Key". I expect to visit here regularly to see your new material.

Comments: Hi TJ, thanks for signing my guestbook. I enjoyed reading your poetry. The "Dad" one was wonderful - it may not be as lyrical as your other poems, but the sentiment.

Comments: I would like to explain why there are so few entries in my Guest Book. I have 2079 visiters to my Poetry Page at this time. But, my page was up for over a year and a half before I decided to get a Guest Book. I didn't want anything to distract from the poetry. I believe that the poetry is even more important that I. A few months ago, a friend put a guest book on her page and it looked so nice, that I decided to put one up also. TJ

Comments: HI Shei. Thank you for signing the guest book. Your comment ..."for the most part" at first, took me kind of by surprise. But then I understood. Being a Pastors daughter, some of the poetry might bother you. But thank you again for signing. Love you, Uncle Dan.

Comments: Hi, wanted to let you know I had been here, I haven't looked at all your pages, but will do so maybe tomorrow. I really like your poetry and the mix of emotions you share. I love it when I find a man who writes romantic poetry. You expect it from a woman, but not always from a man. Thanks for visiting my page. Hope you'll come by again. Have a great day!
