"MY HEART NEVER LISTENS"

I've tried
for many years
not to think about her
but my heart never listens.

I've tried to sleep
without dreaming of her
but it's no use.

Some days are ok.

It's the nights
that betray me
as she steals into the darkness
and invades my soul.

The nights would be very lonely
if I were alone
but she never leaves me alone.

There are times that I'm glad
that my heart never listens.
