The majority of society looks down upon poetry and I don't blame them. Some poetry has become boring, written to be read with a dictionary in hand and every poet writes 'From The Heart,' just ask them. I myself never wrote any poetry 'til I was in my fifties.
Prior to that, I was like the many thousands who never read poetry, since it didn't touch me.
In 1988, something happened to change all that. I met the most beautiful, picturesque Lady I could ever hope to see, even in my most vivid dreams. My heart never had time to be captured, it surrendered at first sight and became a willing prisoner. Many of my poems say my heart still belongs to her.
I don't just write from my heart. I write about the experiences that many of us have shared. I believe that my own experiences speak to those that have loved, lost a dear loved one and like me, realised that we can live through it.
I'm writing to ask a favor. If people started asking for a certain author at their fave BOOK STORE, whether Real Life Book Store or online, like Walden Books, Barnes & Noble or Amazon etc. and asked for a book of ''POETRY'' by: T. J. Daniels, you would discover that they would not have any. When thousands of people start asking for a certain author, the book store would contact their supplier, who in turn would ask the publishers. Perhaps in time, a publisher would contact me about publishing my poetry. If this happened, I would be able to share my poetry with many more people. Thank you. T. J. Daniels.
