Someone comes into your life
and you know your love will last forever

but they had other plans.

And while your heart is mending
it won't allow anyone
closer than a heartbeat.

By the time your heart has fully mended
it has forgotten about the pain
and ready to love again.

Look at my heart
and you'll see all the battle scars

but it's ready to love again.
